It's definitely a theme issue. This theme doesn't use tables, it uses CSS, so there's some kind of crazy-ass trickery that needs to happen to fix the width there. I dropped the author a line, he seems to be pretty active in helping people out with these sorts of things. Hopefully he'll get back to me soon.
